Description
Herbaceous perennial hardy to 10 degrees F. Grows about 18 inches tall with small hairy leaves and white flowers. This plant has both medicinal and culinary uses. It is used to make throat lozenges or candies to soothe sore throats and is also found in beer and tea Horehound beer and tea. It is part of the mint family and can be invasive much in the same way that mint grown in the ground can be so you should consider growing it in containers and cut flowers back before they go to seed if you want to keep it confined.
