The Bourbon Red is a very old Heritage Turkey on the Livestock Conservancy List. These beautiful birds breed naturally and brood their own clutches of eggs. They are excellent foragers and have a good temperament.
The Bourbon Red is noted for its excellent, rich flavor. Bourbon Reds have the potential to grow up to around 33 pounds for the toms and 18 pounds for the hens.
